Textile wax is one of the most commonly used auxiliary materials in textile processing. In the process of product processing and making, fibers can be purified, compensated, washed and bleached through the treatment of textile wax, so as to make up for the natural wax that has been removed, so that the textile can regain its original elasticity, winding and softness. With the rapid development of society and the continuous improvement of people’s living standards, the demand for textile styles is also higher and higher. Different textures and types of waxes are selected to meet the different processing requirements of different textiles and promote the development of textile industry.

Application market of textile wax

Due to the large gap in textile production and export in China, the demand for textile wax is very huge. The development of China’s textile industry has a long history, has already formed a unique competitive advantage, has a complete textile industry chain and high-level processing configuration. China is also a textile processing cluster of many brands in the world. In the face of unknown risks and market competition, China’s ability to continuously improve provides a very solid guarantee for the stable development of the textile industry. Over the years, China’s textile production and marketing rate has been maintained at more than 97%, and the textile trade surplus has been maintained at about 85%. The huge demand for textiles leads to the demand for textile wax, a raw and auxiliary material, which can not be underestimated. From primary processing to rinsing, spinning and printing of textiles, different textile waxes need to be used in each process. Paraffin wax is usually used in traditional processes, but with the continuous improvement of people’s demand for textile style and texture, producers began to improve the original paraffin wax, especially in some high-grade textiles, the application of textile waxes such as synthetic wax and modified paraffin wax is increasing.

Development trend of textile wax

With the rapid development of world economic integration, the production mode of textile enterprises has also changed from small workshops to specialization, which has also become an important driving force for textile processing and textile wax use.
There are many varieties of textile wax, which are widely dispersed. The production and sales of textile wax are complex, which is not suitable for mass production and unified management of factories. Therefore, the author believes that the development trend of textile wax should be to modify paraffin and existing synthetic wax, so as to develop different types of new textile wax with better flexibility, better smoothness, easier removal of impurities and better combination with fiber. Textile wax can be mixed with synthetic resins such as polypropylene methyl ester, polyurethane and polysiloxane, especially silicone rubber wax emulsion in high-grade textile processing. At present, ordinary paraffin wax is still mainly used in the production of textile wax in China, which has problems such as unstable emulsification and difficult emulsification. Therefore, the development of modified petroleum wax is urgently needed to be solved. According to the prediction of relevant authoritative data, China’s textile industry will still show a steady growth trend in the future. With the continuous improvement of the output and production capacity of the chemical fiber industry, the demand for textile wax will also increase.
