Waxes are also widely used in wool textile mills. Fabric lightness is the direction of wool textile product development, which puts forward higher requirements for the weavability of wool yarn. In normal production, the strength, thickness and hairiness of wool yarn seriously restrict the weaving ability of wool yarn, and waxing can easily and effectively solve this problem, so as to provide guarantee for weaving worsted high count wool products.

Waxing methods in wool textile mills
Waxing in wool textile mills generally includes solid wax and liquid wax. Apply solid wax: make the solid wax into a wax plate and wax the warp yarn near the rear beam of the loom. Practice has proved that the wax plate will produce additional tension on the warp yarn, resulting in the grinding of the wax roller into a groove and the uneven wax coating of the warp yarn; The adhesion between warp and solid wax is very small, so the effect of solid wax is poor. Apply liquid wax: apply liquid wax to warp yarn during warping and shaft reversal to reduce hairiness of wool yarn. Practice has proved that the application of liquid wax process can significantly reduce the defects of 100 meter weaving, small flower skipping, warp defect and other defects, greatly reduce the repair time and improve the finished quality.

Advantages and disadvantages of waxing wool yarn
Waxing can improve the weavability of wool yarn, improve the clarity of opening, reduce weaving defects and improve production efficiency. However, waxing also adds trouble to the finishing. First of all, after waxing grey cloth, we must strengthen the washing, and we must wash it, otherwise the strip dyeing products will produce color wilt, while the match dyeing products will produce dyeing defects, which will affect the quality of tweed. Secondly, according to the performance requirements of the wax agent, it can only be removed by washing before thermal curing, so as not to produce color flowers and color wilting. This requires that the grey cloth must be shaped after or in the middle. Before cooking, it is necessary to strengthen washing and wash the wax agent. At the same time, it is also necessary to consider the difficulties and adverse factors brought to singeing, which may affect the feel, physical quality and style characteristics of the fabric. In addition, a reasonable amount of wax should be considered in actual production. Too much or too little will not produce good results.
