Extreme climate, environmental pollution, the environmental problems we are facing are becoming more and more prominent. Textile industry is an industry with high energy consumption and high pollution, how to achieve the goal of energy saving and emission reduction is the obligation and responsibility of all textile enterprises.
The traditional textile pre-treatment process is mostly carried out under the condition of high temperature and strong alkali, which has high energy consumption and large pollutant emission. Therefore,it’s significant to reduce the temperature in bleaching process by using catalysts that have high efficiency in catalytic activity. Recently, a new type of Low-temperature catalyst has been developed by Shandong Zhongkang Advanced Dyeing Printing Technology Research Institute(ADPTRI).
This catalyst is an enzyme-mimetic catalyst compounded with special low-temperature effective scouring agent that enable the hydrogen peroxide bleaching take place at a lower temperature. Bleaching with the catalyst at 75-80℃ can achieve sufficient degree of whiteness and wettability for dyeing and full bleach and meantime reduce energy consumption, lower strength loss and weight loss of cotton fabrics. The action mechanism of the catalyst is as follows: the complexes formed by manganese with a series of saltren ligands and their substituents have strong activity. the metal atomic valence increases after forming complexes. When used in hydrogen peroxide bleaching, it is conducive to the formation of strong oxidizing substances and can catalyze hydrogen peroxide bleaching.
